Who we are
Local means something different out here
In a metro, a plumber twenty miles away is fine. In western Kansas, twenty miles is a different town and a real drive, and the difference between a company based in Hays and one that services Hays is the difference between two hours and most of a day. Ellis County is our core, and we regularly work out to Plainville, Russell and WaKeeney where the drive makes sense for both of us.
We work the older brick homes near downtown and Fort Street, the mid-century housing that fills much of the city, and the newer construction on the south and west edges. Knowing that stock matters. We know which era of Hays home is likely to have galvanized supply, where clay tile sewer lines still run, and which additions were plumbed by someone who was making it up as they went.
Ellis County was settled by German immigrants in the 1870s and 80s, and a lot of the housing in Hays, Ellis and Victoria still reflects that era. Century-old homes have century-old plumbing decisions layered on top of each other. We would rather look first and quote second than guess and revise.
We are also a newer company name, and we would rather say that plainly than invent a decades-long history. What we offer instead is a phone that gets answered, a price agreed before we start, and photographs of anything we find that changes the job.

If we open a wall and find something else, you see a photo and a cost before we continue. Never a surprise on the invoice.
