Emergency Plumber
When water is going somewhere it shouldn't, call now
Burst supply lines, a water heater dumping into the basement, sewage coming up a floor drain. These do not wait for business hours, and in western Kansas the nearest help is not always close. We answer.
- Emergency service across Ellis County
- Burst pipes, major leaks, no water
- Sewage backups and overflowing drains
- Straight pricing before we start
First, do this
Before we get there, shut the water off
Most of the damage in a plumbing emergency happens in the minutes before anyone finds the valve. Two minutes now saves a floor.
Find the main shutoff
Usually where the service line enters the house — a basement wall, a crawlspace, or near the water heater. Turn clockwise until it stops.
Kill power if water is near it
If water is anywhere near outlets, the panel or the furnace, shut off the breaker before you go wading.
Then call us
Tell us what you shut off and what you are seeing. We will tell you what to do next while we are on the way.
Not sure where your shutoff is? Our guide on how to shut off your water walks through it before you need it.
Why it matters
Why the response matters more than the repair
Damage compounds by the hour
Drywall, flooring and framing can usually be saved if the water stops fast. After a few hours you are dealing with a restoration job, not a plumbing one.
You get a real arrival window
Not a vague promise to come by sometime today. You get a time, and a call if it moves.
Priced before we start
You approve the number before any work begins, emergency or not. No discovering the cost afterward.
A person, not a queue
You describe the problem to someone who can actually tell you what to do in the meantime.
Common calls
What we see most in Hays
Some of these are seasonal, some are just what happens in older housing stock.
Frozen and burst supply lines in January, especially in crawlspaces and along exterior walls in older Hays homes. Water heaters that let go at the tank seam. Failed shutoff valves that will not close when someone needs them to. Sewer backups after heavy rain, often where clay tile has taken on roots. And the slow leak nobody noticed until the bill or the ceiling gave it away.
How we work
What to expect when you call
- 01
You call and we triage
We ask what you are seeing, tell you what to shut off, and give you an honest arrival window rather than a vague promise.
- 02
We find the source
Not just the symptom. A ceiling stain is where water landed, not where it came from — we trace it before cutting anything.
- 03
You approve the price
We explain the fix, quote it, and wait for you to say yes. Then we repair it and clean up the work area.
